Thank you, my friends, for your much appreciated response!
Love,
CoCo
you once were true.
.. with no more than the fierce beating of my heart as your signal,.
you would hasten deliciously into my presence and cherish me.

good morning!.
"warrior" and i had an 8-hour visit yesterday centering around many of the issues discussed by jwn members.
one point we talked about was jesus' instruction to make disciples, baptize them and observe all that he has commanded us.. does a christian, therefore, need conduct his life solely on what jesus literally said, i.e., teachings contained in the four gospels?.
Thank you, LV, Snare, lost and Scotoma, for good, helpful information.
If you want to make life decisions based on these accounts, first one much analyse the source of the material.
Your points, Snare, are well taken; however, Warrior's and my life's decisions are no longer dependent upon any of this. If my word choice was incorrect, I apologize. I simply wanted to share some of what we discussed yesterday and get your viewpoint, which -- thank you -- you have given!
THANKS, all!

Well, thanks, Nathan . . .
Gives me a clue how to carry on with this sad tale!
With cloying gratitude.

You once were true. I was your only one . . .
With no more than the fierce beating of my heart as your signal,
you would hasten deliciously into my presence and cherish me
as none other.
You were so sweet, so delectable.
Those consumed with envy styled you a villain, an embodiment
of carnal pleasure let flow, yet you delicately removed the
shackles upon my heart.
You, sweet savior, have become my liberator.
Your glance, your touch, your kiss have revived me . . . my window
has e'er since been ajar that you might float through on wings of desire, lighting softly
Upon my chamber floor. . . .
(to be continued)

Oh, but your post is an answer, Leaving!
Thank you so much for your research. What an effort. I'll be sure to share all of the above with Warrior, who has no online access.
All the best.

Thanks, Neon and Snare, for your replies!
Much appreciated!
The question, from Warrior's and my point of view, is academic. My manner of posing it, however, didn't make my intent clear. There are so many variables . . . Personally, I wasn't sure what was included in Jesus' teachings.
Gratefully,
CoCo does enjoy life! More than ever.

CoCo
i awake in a place that clearly is not home.. looking about in a blurry daze, the expected trappings of bed, chair and scuffed, dirty walls have somehow disappeared during my wretched slumber.
all the familiar has slid away, swirling downward, but not swallowed, into an eerily black vortex above which my stiffened body floats unaffected by the devouring maelstrom.
my immediate surroundings are an atmosphere of greenish hue that is part of what appears to be sky.
Rip . . .
THANK YOU!
Off and running to meet some good news (more later)!
CoCo
i am so tired of waking up without hope.
so tired of fighting one more day...i just want it to end as painless as possible.
i truly don't have the willpower or strength anymore..
We love you, Lou!

I walk into a twilight of emerging, beckoning stars that bid me join their ranks.
Of the Earth, bound to it body and soul, yet I have never felt quite at home amongst flora and fauna, however delightful to my quivering senses they ever have been. Some mystic allure draws my spirit upward unto celestial realms that defy the constancy of gravity; it dares me take wing and escape the bonds of terrestrial mortality.
Take wing I truly do -- is this a dream? -- and soar to levels beyond the stratosphere, finding my startled self intertwining with, becoming one with cosmic forces that ages ago created the flesh and bone that now assimilates into its place of origin.
Into the Temple of Night do I enter, performing glad and willing obeisance to the One who knows my heart.
